the terms below.
1. Grant of license
Subject to these terms, you are granted a worldwide, royalty-free,
non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the
Software for any lawful purpose, including commercial and internal business use,
on any number of machines that you own or control.
2. Permitted copying
You may:

configuration and backup;
c. copy the jotkit agent skills into agent skill directories on your machines,
including copies made automatically by the `jotkit skills install` command; and
d. use the data that the Software produces on your machine, including your
annotation ledger, freely and without restriction. Your data is yours.
3. Restrictions
Except to the extent that the following restrictions are prohibited by
applicable law, you may not:
a. redistribute, publish, sell, rent, lease, sublicense or otherwise make the
Software available to any third party;
b. modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works of the Software;
c. reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, or attempt to
derive its source code;
d. remove, obscure or alter any copyright, trademark or other proprietary
notice contained in the Software; or
e. use the name "jotkit" or any confusingly similar mark to identify any
product that is not the Software.
4. Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. Brenna Stuart retains all right, title and
interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual property rights. No
rights are granted except as expressly set out in this agreement.
5. Third party components
The Software incorporates third party components that are licensed separately by
their respective owners. Those components remain subject to their own licenses,
and nothing in this agreement limits your rights under them.
6. Privacy
The Software runs locally. It does not transmit your annotations, page content,
attachments or source code to the licensor or to any third party.
7. No warranty
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS
FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. YOU USE THE SOFTWARE AT
YOUR OWN RISK.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL BRENNA
STUART BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION
OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE
SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE. THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT
LIMITATION, ANY LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL,
SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
The Software can drive autonomous coding agents that read and write files in
repositories you designate. You are solely responsible for reviewing the changes
those agents make and for maintaining backups and version control of your work.
9. Termination
This license terminates automatically if you breach any of its terms. On
termination you must stop using the Software and delete all copies of it in your
possession. Section 4 and sections 7 through 12 survive termination.
10. Changes to these terms
The licensor may publish updated terms for future versions of the Software. The
terms you accepted continue to govern the version you installed.
11. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States,
without regard to its conflict of law provisions. The exclusive venue for any
dispute arising out of or relating to this agreement or the Software shall be
the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to the personal
jurisdiction of those courts.
12. Severability
If any provision of this agreement is held to be unenforceable, that provision
shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the
remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
